Marla Ray, President

 

Marla, a native of Poughkeepsie, NY, is a graduate of Florida International University, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in hospitality management. She spent seven years working in the hospitality industry, at resorts and country clubs, followed by several years working in the IT world before founding Urban Referrals in 2002.

 

Marla married John in May 2009 in Keystone, CO and honeymooned in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico.

 

When she takes a break from Urban Referrals, you may find her exploring the mountains, bike riding, visiting family and friends around the country, trying new restaurants, volunteering at the local animal shelter, or relaxing at home with her husband, their two cats Troy and Shadow, and their new puppy Faith.

 

Erin Lawler – Operations Manager

 

Erin joined Urban Referrals in January 2007 as Operations Manager.  She has spent the past five years working in the construction and remodeling industry. For three of those years Erin worked as an Operations Manager for a kitchen and bath remodeling company and the other two years as an on-site field manager, where she supervised the installation of high-rise and mid-rise condo kitchens and bathrooms.  Her experience is a huge asset to Urban Referrals, our clients and partners.

Erin grew up in Northern Virginia and is a graduate of George Mason University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and became a certified paralegal. Despite her degree, Erin currently resides in Herndon, VA, with her husband, Tommy and their dog, Lexus. When Erin is not at work, you can find her having fun with her family, at the gym or shopping.
